Haley Bieber's Step-by-Step Skincare Layering Routine
In this video, Haley Bieber shares her complete skincare layering routine, explaining the correct order and purpose of each product. She emphasizes how using products in the right sequence improves their effectiveness. From double cleansing to sunscreen, she walks through every step tailored to different skin concerns like dryness, acne, hyperpigmentation, and texture. The tutorial helps viewers understand the importance of absorption time and choosing products based on current skin needs.
-
Double Cleanse (Oil + Gel Cleanser):
Start with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup and sunscreen. Follow with a gel-based cleanser (like CeraVe Blemish Control) to deeply clean the skin, especially if you wear full-coverage makeup or thick sunscreen. -
Dry Your Face Gently:
After rinsing, air dry your face or use a fan. Avoid rubbing with towels to prevent irritation. -
Apply Toner:
Use a water-consistency toner based on your skin concern. Glycolic acid for pigmentation, or texture-targeting toners like Pore Zero for whiteheads and bumps. -
Let Toner Absorb (Wait 10 mins):
Allow your toner to fully absorb before layering the next product to avoid product mixing and improve effectiveness. -
Apply Serum:
Choose a serum that addresses your main skin issue — hyaluronic acid for dryness, niacinamide for texture, BHA for acne. Apply a few drops and let it absorb. -
Wait Again (10 mins):
Give your serum time to penetrate the skin properly before applying more products. -
Apply Eye Cream:
Use a caffeine or hydrating eye cream depending on your needs. Be very gentle and dab it on with your ring finger. -
Apply Moisturizer:
Pick a moisturizer that suits the weather and your skin condition — gel-based for oily skin/summer, rich cream for dry skin/winter, and specialized creams for dark spots. -
Optional Second Layer of Moisturizer:
If your skin feels extra dry, add a second layer of moisturizer, especially in dry climates or winter. -
Finish with Sunscreen (SPF 30–50):
Apply a sunscreen that blends well with your skin tone. Choose fragrance-free for sensitive skin. Always apply last in your routine.
