Effortless Blowout with the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer

This guide shows how to achieve a voluminous, salon-style blowout at home using the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer. It walks you through prepping your hair, sectioning, drying techniques for volume and smoothness, and two ways to style your bangs for different looks—all using the warm heat setting for safer styling.

Step 1: Prep Your Hair
Start with freshly washed hair. Let it air dry slightly so it’s damp, not soaking wet.

Step 2: Apply Products
Use a heat protectant spray to prevent damage. Add hair mousse for volume and hold. If you want to use hair oil, apply it after styling to avoid frying your hair.

Step 3: Section Your Hair
Divide your hair into small sections to make styling easier and more effective.

Step 4: Start Drying
Use the warm setting (second heat level) on the Revlon tool.
Place the brush under a section of hair and run it through a few times to start drying it.

Step 5: Add Volume and Shape
Roll the brush inward as you dry to create volume and curl the ends.
Repeat the roll 3–5 times, depending on how damp your hair is.
To maximize volume, lift the hair section upwards and dry near the roots.

Step 6: Smooth and Finish Each Section
To avoid tangles, unroll the brush downward first. Then gently roll out the ends for a smooth finish.

Step 7: Repeat on the Other Side
Follow the same process on the opposite side, keeping your movements slow and controlled.

Step 8: Style the Crown (Mohawk Section)
Work from the back of the crown toward the front in 3 parts.
Blow dry each section straight up for maximum volume.
Use the same rolling and lifting technique as before.

Step 9: Style Your Bangs – Two Options
Option 1: Voluminous Curtain Bangs
Place the brush under the bangs and roll forward while drying.
Keep the brush centered on your forehead for balance.
More lift = more volume at the roots; less lift = more shape at the ends.
Style them with your fingers for a curtain-bang look.

Option 2: Sleek Face-Framing Bangs
Dampen the bangs again.
This time, place the brush over the bangs and roll upward while drying.
Avoid pressing the brush against your forehead — it’ll make the bangs too flat.
This method creates soft, face-framing bangs that curve inward.

Step 10: Final Touches
Once everything is dry and styled, go over any sections that need touch-ups.
If desired, apply a light hair oil for shine.
